Cyber Cafe Show again
Last night was another show at the Cyber Cafe in Binghamton. She only brought Russ Johnson with her this time. I think it was originally supposed to be a solo show, but I always like it when she brings a band. Setlist was as follows.

Set One
Lonely Streets
Vertigo
Trouble
Featherwoman
Angel in My View
Everything Was Red (new song)
Alright Okay
Wildflower

Set Two
Bravedancing
Slow Down
Pictures They Took >> Site-Seeing
Unbeauty
Falling Leaves (was all instrumental very short)
My Word
Blue Light
Mexico
What If?

She actually started to play Delancey Street at the end of the first set, but decided she needed someone to sing it to and pulled a stuffed lizard off of one of the speakers and set it on the table right in front. She decided about a line into the song that she couldn't sing to it without laughing and abandoned the song until the second set, but then never played it.Which made me sad because its not on an album so I only get to hear it at shows and I love that song.

She had all kinds of banter last night including a story about an artist from Montenegro who was at her show Friday night in Vermont and invited her and her tour manager back to her apartment and tried to dress them in clothes she made and get them stoned. And an embarrassing story about percussion when she was on tour with Ani.

It was actually kind of funny, after the show my boyfriend and I always talk to her for a few minutes and thank her for coming to Binghamton, we tend to be pretty dead musically as far as decent shows go (plus I don't get out much). But we ran into a friend of ours on the way out who was getting a beer just as the show was ending and he saw Rachael's outfit (which was typical for her) and got very confused. We had to explain to him that she always dresses like that and it made me realize that I accept stuff like that without second thought, but I've also been a Rachael fan for five years now so maybe I'm just desensitized.

That's so awesome! I wish I could have been there. And I love the way Rachael dresses!

I do too, it works for her, but it definitely wouldn't work for me.
